District 5400 is excited to announce that we are launching a New Generations Service Exchange (NGSE) program!
NGSE provides young professionals, typically ages 18–30, with an opportunity to experience another culture while developing professional skills, building friendships, and participating in meaningful service. Exchanges can range from two weeks to three months, depending on the interests and opportunities of the participant and host.
We Need Host Families!
As we build the program, we are looking for Rotarians and Rotary families throughout District 5400 who would be interested in hosting a young professional from another country.
Host families would provide:
- A place to stay and meals
- Transportation or assistance with transportation
- An opportunity to experience Idaho and our communities
- Connections to Rotary, local professionals and community activities
- A welcoming environment where cultural exchange can happen naturally
You don't have to have a large home or extensive hosting experience. What matters most is a willingness to open your home and share your community and culture with a young professional from another part of the world.
Hosting could be for as little as two weeks or as long as three months, making NGSE a flexible way to participate in an international Rotary experience without the long-term commitment of a traditional exchange program.

NGSE is about much more than providing a place to stay. It is an opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, learn from different perspectives and create lasting international connections—right here in District 5400.
