District 5400 is accepting applications for Rotary Foundation District Grants for next year! We have $60,245 to distribute to clubs in the 2026-27 cycle. The deadline for application is June 1, 2026. A few things to remember:
- 1 grant per club; 1 project per application
- $5000 maximum request;
- $1,434 is the tier 2 amount your club should be able to receive for a qualifying project (see instructions for caveats in this tier);
- Clubs whose TRF Annual Fund giving in 2023-24 (the funding year) was <$100/capita cannot apply in tier 3;
- Online applications must be signed by the 2026-27 club president and the grant project manager (s/he who manages the application) to be considered;
- Clubs with overdue reports on open grants may not be able to get a grant in this cycle, and the deadline for those is May 15, 2026;
- A club cannot be reimbursed for expenses incurred prior to notification that their district grant application is approved by The Rotary Foundation, sometime in July;
- Website for application is www.matchinggrants.org.
The instructions will walk you through the process and they provide more information regarding grant parameters and limitations! Please take the time to read them.
Share this email and the instructions with the Rotarian in your club who will be your grant manager. I've sent this to current club presidents, club secretaries, club treasurers, club service chairs, club Rotary Foundation chairs and 2026-27 club presidents, in addition to most district leaders.
The Rotary Foundation amount available to us for 2026-27 district grants is determined by contributions made by our Rotarians to Annual Fund-SHARE in 2023-24, and it is about $7,000 more than we had to distribute last year.
Yours in Rotary,
Ines Crespo
