Phones, laptops, e-toothbrushes, bluetooth speakers, cordless tools, e-dog collars - convenient rechargeable devices containing lithium-ion batteries are proliferating our lives. However, lithium-ion batteries can ignite if damaged or thrown in the trash. On the other hand, when properly recycled, 95% of the lithium and cobalt can be recovered, while building a new battery supply chain right here in the USA. Yet, only a small faction are recycled!In order to address this safety issue and stimulate recycling momentum, D5400 clubs are holding collection drives. Please spread the word and drop-off your old rechargeable devices and lithium-ion batteries at the times and locations below!
